Preschool reopened for all pupils on 2nd September, and it was lovely to welcome everyone back—and to welcome our new starters and their families. The focus in our first week was on ’All About Me’ activities, helping everyone get to know each other. The children took selfies of themselves and measured their heights so that they can refer back to them and see how much they grow throughout their Preschool journey.

We have converted part of our cosy corner to include a superhero wall and the children now have the opportunity to be a Hero Helper of the day, which they are loving!

Of course, although we are ‘back to normal’, this is the new normal, where everything we do is carefully considered in the context of Covid-19 guidelines.  The children are adapting well to the changes we have made to ensure they’re kept safe at all times.

Our Acting Manager, Nicola, has now been offered the post of permanent Preschool manger. The committee congratulates her and are delighted that she’s accepted the post. They want to thank her for all her hard work, especially during the pandemic.

Sadly, we had to postpone our Racing Night fundraiser at the end of August, but we hope to be able to bring you news of other fundraising activities soon.
