PHOTO SESSION REMINDER>>>>We are pleased to let you know that one of our parents has kindly offered to come in on Tuesday 4th June between 2 pm – 3 pm and Wednesday 5th June at 9 am – 10 am, to take the children’s photos. Our school leavers can be snapped in the graduation gown and cap if they wish, and everyone else may come in whatever clothing you wish them to be photographed in.
If your child normally attends on this day then you do not need to do anything, but if your child does not attend on either of these days, then please speak to me to arrange a time that you may bring your child in for their photo.
Our Committee
Thank you to those that attended the committee meeting. Some wonderful ideas were shared. If you are still interested, then please come and speak to me to find out more ways to help your child’s preschool thrive.
Reminders:
- Warmer weather has finally arrived so please provide labelled sun hats for your child, you must apply the sun cream before the child attends his/her session. We will only reapply sun cream to children who attend all day and only if you have provided a labelled bottle for us. Don’t forget their labelled water bottle too.
- Please remember once you have found out your allocated school to please tell us; we can then hand out a leavers form and start the transition forms.
- We still need parents to provide PE for the school leavers. So please bring these in a separate bag. Thank you to those who already have. ?
Theme/Topic:
Our theme for the next few weeks will be Mini Explorers. We will be venturing into The Jungle, Under the Sea, going Camping and much more! We will be using as many natural resources as possible, and teaching about water pollution and den building. The learning opportunities will continue to be based on the children’s next steps. A few examples are sequencing, mark making in the sand to develop writing skills, constructing their own animal habitats with playdough and a variety of sensory trays so the children extend their senses through touch, sight, smell etc.
The SHOW Dance session once a week is going extremely well. The 3+-year-olds have been learning a dance routine around a mash-up of 3-4 songs!! We are hoping to invite those parents in to see the show…watch this space.
Fundraisers: DON’T forget that this SUNDAY is our Sponsored Trikeathon
Our next fundraiser will be the Trikeathon, held on Sunday 9th June at 1 pm on the basketball court. Please remember to sponsor your little ones to take part, additional sponsor forms are available for siblings etc. if you would like them to join in on the day.
PAMPER EVENING
On the 28th June we will be hosting a pamper evening here from 7 pm – 9 pm. You can purchase tickets from us at just £4, which includes a welcome drink. We have a variety of treatments available on the night and some lovely stalls, inc jewellery, candles, clothing, beauty products and much more to suit every pocket. Please buy your ticket now to avoid disappointment. First come first served!
Tombola prizes are needed for the Village Festival. These could be good quality toys, bottles of wine, toiletries, etc. Please have a look at home and hand them to preschool staff. Many thanks in advance!
