We’ve been very busy raising funds this term, both for Preschool and the charities we support.

Our coffee afternoon and guess the number of sweets in the jar competition in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support raised £85. The winner was ex-Preschooler and maths genius Austin with his guess of 207! Well done Austin, and thank you to everyone who donated cakes or supported the event.

The children also did a sponsored ramble to Diddington (or perhaps we should say in the direction of Diddington, as their little legs didn’t quite make it!), to raise money for Children in Need. We are still collecting sponsorship money for this, but we are very proud of their efforts!

Preschool itself is of course a registered charity, and our Government funding only covers staffing and a few other costs, so we need to fundraise regularly to raise money for resources and activities.

Orders for the lovely penguin Christmas cards designed by the children have raised £40 for Preschool, while our fun-filled Halloween Party raised £279. The committee also arranged a Quiz Night earlier this month that raised £200.

A big thank you to everyone who has given their time, money or both to support Preschool and charity fundraisers this term!
