What the children think ...

"I love coming and putting my bag in and playing with the sand and my friends."

We welcome children from their second birthday until they start school.

We offer flexible childcare to suit your needs (please contact us for current availability), charging £3.95 per hour for two-year olds and £3.90 per hour for children aged 3+. We also provide a healthy snack during the morning session.

We are registered for the Free Twos Funding Scheme as well as the Early Years Funding Scheme, which offers families 15 hours of free childcare each week and we are also happy to accept payment via the Employer Supported Childcare Scheme.

We provide high quality care and education, following the Early Years Foundation Stage with activities planned in response to children's observed interests across the seven areas of learning.

We believe that children learn best through play and offer activities such as painting, crafts, playdoh, sand, water, books, dressing-up and role play, construction on small and large scales, small world toys, puzzles and musical instruments, singing, storytime and computer work on a regular basis. We also encourage free-flow to the outside area where there are bikes, scooters, balance beams, rockers and a trampoline as well as making regular use of the village playing field, play park and 'The Valley' area.

A typical day will include registration followed by free play alongside planned group activities, a healthy mid morning snack, storytime and much more. A less typical day could include dressing up for charity, rehearsing for a play or even caring for and watching chicks hatch! - we really do take every opportunity to enjoy as many experiences as possible within a safe and structured environment.

We also pride ourselves on our ability to make numerous trips out throughout the term including country walks, visits to church, the dentist, local shops, the library and farm trips.
